Nancy S. Cavanaugh Social Work Scholarship
This award honors Nan’s memory and contribution to the University and the field of Social Work by recognizing a student who embodies her core characteristics: commitment to children, diligence, critical thinking, and commitment to social justice.
Applicant must be attending the Graduate Program in the Social Work Department at Westfield State University with a concentration in working on behalf of children and placed in an advanced practicum working with children. Applicant must maintain a GPA of 3.3 or higher. Applicant must be a resident of Massachusetts.
Special consideration will be given to applicant with a financial hardship.
