The Randi M. Lemenager '17 Memorial Scholarship

The Randi M. Lemenager '17 Memorial Scholarship

This scholarship was created in memory of Randi M. Lemenager, class of 2017 Valedictorian. During her four years at Westfield State University Randi had an exponential impact on the Westfield State University community, excelling as a student and individual. She made it her mission to promote inclusion and acceptance of all people regardless of abilities, gender or race. She led by example and never settled with ‘just enough’ she set the bar high for herself and those around her to make the world a better place. Her legacy and passion for improving the lives of students with disabilities will live on through this scholarship by providing financial assistance to future teachers as they work towards their degree.

Westfield State University was Randi’s second home for four years. She loved her friends, acquaintances, professors, and anyone she crossed paths with, especially those who believed in the importance of inclusion. Randi developed some of her strongest relationships through her involvement in clubs, such as the friendships she made with students in the Inclusive Concurrent Enrollment Initiative (ICE) Program. She truly showed the students what it meant to have friends and participate in the WSU college life.

This scholarship will be awarded to Education majors entering their senior year, with a GPA of 3.3 or higher, who have demonstrated an exemplary commitment to special education, inclusion and the Westfield State community. The recipient will be involved in campus clubs and organizations aligned with education or inclusion, such as the pIeCEs club or Kappa Delta along with other campus sponsored clubs and activities. The Westfield State Foundation is proud to honor Randi’s legacy.
