The Dr. Victor "Vic" Ascolillo Criminal Justice for Graduate Students Scholarship

Victor H. Ascolillo, J.D. or “Vic” as his friends and family knew him, spent more than 40 years as a beloved professor and chair of the Criminal Justice Department at Westfield State. In April of 2017, the Westfield State University Criminal Justice Alumni Association honored Vic with the first Lifetime Achievement Award for his dedication to the Criminal Justice Program through its founding and perfecting the curriculum.

Victor died unexpectedly in August of 2017. To honor Victor’s accomplishments, the Ascolillo family has established this scholarship in his memory. Victor always had a special connection with graduate students as he understood their arduous path where they often work full time or have little ones at home. He recognized their zeal for an education and that made them exceptional students.

The goal of this scholarship is to provide funds for students enrolled in a graduate program at Westfield State pursuing a Master’s degree within the Criminal Justice Program.
