Thomas H. Convery '78 Scholarship for Community Service

Tom Convery, proud and faithful alumni of the Class of 1978, established the Thomas H. Convery Scholarship for Community Service at Westfield State University in honor of his commitment to his alma mater. Tom is a huge supporter of Community Service and has spent a lifetime giving back. Applicant may only be a recipient of this award once.

The purpose of this award is to provide a vital source of scholarship funds for students at Westfield State University to pursue an undergraduate degree and who are committed to making a difference through community involvement on and off campus. Students awarded this scholarship will be selected based on the criteria as follows:

  • Applicants must be enrolled full-time in an undergraduate program at Westfield State University
  • Applicants must maintain a GPA of 2.5 or higher
  • Applicants will be asked to write an essay demonstrating a strong commitment to community service in a volunteer capacity.
