Marjorie Rodríguez '16, MSW Empowerment Scholarship

This scholarship is established by Father Warren J. Savage, Director of the Albert & Amelia Ferst Interfaith Center on the campus of Westfield State University to honor the work of Marjorie Rodríguez ’16, MSW. It will provide a vital source of funds for students at Westfield State University pursuing a degree in Social Work or Spanish. Students will be awarded based on financial need and merit. The criteria is as follows:

  • Applicants may be traditional or non-traditional and/or undergraduate or graduate
  • Current and former foster youth, students experiencing homelessness and first-generation students are encouraged to apply
  • Applicants will be asked to write an essay demonstrating their resiliency and determination to overcome obstacles to succeed.
