The Father Warren J. Savage Endowed Fund
Father Warren J. Savage is the Catholic Chaplain and Director of the Albert & Amelia Ferst Interfaith Center on the campus of Westfield State University. Father Savage began his journey with the Interfaith Center in September of 2014 as lead pastor. In his role as director, Father Savage performs a full array of pastoral services and devotions, creates weekly publications, coordinates programming with partner churches and organizations, and maintains a level of continual professional preparation. In addition, many Westfield State students and employees seek his counsel and assistance, especially during times of stress and conflict.
His counseling reflects a deep understanding of human nature, behavior, and knowledge of the community he calls home. Father Savage’s genuine caring for each person, straightforward analysis and advice has endeared him to so many who seek his comforting words and enlightenment. Amazingly, he fulfills these activities and obligations without a staff to support him. For that, Dr. Roy Hirofumi Saigo, Ph.D., along with his wife Barbara Woodworth Saigo, Ph.D., have created this fund to provide for an assistant at the Interfaith Center.
The Fr. Warren J. Savage Endowed Fund to Support the Work of the Albert & Amelia Ferst Interfaith Center will aid in assisting the good work Father Savage continues to provide on a daily basis.
